The Clashes of the Sexes!

This was a survey done in order to give us something to laugh at, something to think about which was a far cry from the monotonous work in office.

Spokesperson asked - Why do Guys flirt with Girls?

Guy "A" - It is because their "Raging Hormones go crazy" or "They want to score"

Guy "B" - To make a girl feel nice. (This came from a guy who has never made a girl feel nice)

Guy "A" - Fine, If you really want to make her feel nice - "Compliment her" and not try to get in her pants!

Guy "B" remains oblivious to the reply made by Guy "A".

Guy "A" continues - The best reason why guys flirt is Time Pass

Spokesperson continues her quest.

Spokesperson asks Guy "C" - Why do guys flirt with girls?

Guy "C" - (Smirks at the question and responds) That's simple, They can't flirt with guys!

Spokesperson stands flabbergasted!

Spokesperson still continues her quest.

Spokesperson asks Guy "D" - Why do guys flirt with girls?

Guy "D" - For Sex!

Spokesperson - (to herself)  Whoa! Did I want to hear that?

Guy "D" - (continues his spree grinning) To make a girl feel on the top of the world!

Spokesperson seems she needs a break from the male gender and goes on to ask her female counterparts.

Spokesperson to Girl "A" - Why do guys flirt with girls?

Girl "A" - To satisfy their ego. To know that they have options and to want to explore more than what they have! To show off and sometimes it can be for more than just "talking"!

Spokesperson to Girl "A" - You are on a roll, Girl!

Girl "A" grins.

Spokesperson carries on her quest with Girl "A" by her side.

Girl "A" to Girl "B" - Why do guys flirt with girls?

Girl "B" - Its upto an individual, if he or she is happy being with the opposite sex around him or her in a very casual way then they flirt!

Girl "A" disagrees and says - If they want to be casual, they can as well speak normally! Why flirt?

Spokesperson nods her head in agreement.

Spokesperson carries on her quest.

Spokesperson to Girl "C" - Why do guys flirt with girls?

Girl "C" - To impress girls, just for time pass or maybe even for the reason that they like them and want to take the relationship forward.Depends on the guy who is flirting.. Mostly guys do it to kill time!

Spokesperson ends the survey as she has been enlightened enough that she can't form her own opinions! Her mind seems blank!

Spokesperson decides to conclude the entire survey.

Girl "A" saves the Spokesperson some energy and concludes - The conclusion of this survey is simple: Guys are mad, confused creatures who don't know what they only want! How can you call them the "Man of the house" huh? Huh? :-*

Guy "A" butts in and adds - This coming from a species who cant decide what shoes to buy, is full of irony :P

Spokesperson is flabbergasted yet again!

22 going on 23!

Here I am wondering how wonderful the journey has been these past 23 years! God's mercy has just seeped in the most unknown forms into my life and it has turned out to be just perfect (I, touch wood - something which I've learnt over the years - Apparently, On touching wood the wood sprites get pleased and prevent any ill luck that could come from a favourable observation just made!). But then again I would love to divulge more details on the "Touch Wood" phrase!

Blessings showered on me - Infinite! (Every single moment I have lived till date is a blessing) Lessons learnt innumerous! People met - Too many! Friends made - Not too many! (I'm choosy when it comes to making friends, they have to go through the "Fineness test"!) Something which I have learnt over the years as well - To be wary! I really don't know who said this but I'm rephrasing the quote to match me now - "I'm 18 with 4 years of experience!"

Getting back to the main point as to why I started writing this post! This post has been more of a ritual every year! This year unlike all the previous years, I officially feel OLD! It's been an amazing journey so far, blah, blah and more blah! I'm grateful to a number of people whose been in my life, walked out of it and made it slightly more peaceful and to some extent less entertaining! But then again, everything happens for a reason and this is something that I have learnt over the years and have abided by it! I have also learnt that people do not have to like you all the time, if they hate you (though it is a pretty strong word) or rather dislike you - "Give a damn"! The very reason they dislike you is proof that you are Human! 

I've donned so many roles in the past 22 years and continue to don the same and they will forever remain very close to me - I've been the little baby everyone was a little envious of, I've been the Apple of my Grandfather's eye, I am a Daughter, I am Daddy's Little Princess, I am a Sister, I've been a doting Grand Daughter, I am a Niece, I've been an awesome "Smallest" Cousin (In every context), I am an Aunt, I've been a Classmate, I've been a Student, I've been and still am a Teacher ( In a 100 different Subjects - I've been a Teacher to myself as well, a million times!), I've been and still am a constant learner (Yes, I am exaggerating a bit here - Come on! Who doesn't like the limelight on them for a while!) I am a Friend, I am a Soul Sister, I am a Worry Bin (I know I do not have copyright to use the Worry Bin but that status has been granted to me so I'm just boasting!), I've been a Shoulder to Cry on, I've been the World's Worst and Best Support to my family, (Yes, it is indeed a World of Contradictions I live in), I've become an Engineer, I am a Professional (At work <- Oh Yes, I work> and otherwise too), I've been the reason for many a Smiles and many a Tears (Not too many tears though or rather I wouldn't be too sure of), I've been a Lover (I've loved too many things in Life - The zest and the love for living life being the biggest!), I've donned all these and hopefully much more in the years to come!

To live life spontaneously is one of the best lessons of my life! It is amazing when you just let go of your life for just that little bit and enjoy the perks of letting go as long as you can bring yourself back to one piece! And not split into a Hundred Different Pieces! Some of the lessons (actually, they can't be termed as lessons) that I have learnt from being spontaneous is that you stop giving a damn about what the entire world thinks! You do it cause it makes YOU happy!

I am a person of contradictions, I have a loving, caring and naive heart which gets hurt too often though my mind remains steadfast and ever supportive in the most unlikeliest of ways! My Mind and Heart are the 2 contradictory factors in my very being! But I love them both alike cause I'd never live life with the "Dramatic Flair" people say I have otherwise!

I've had the best of every possible world there could be out there! (Well, almost every possible world out there!) I've had fairy tales and I've had nightmares!

I look around and I smile, I am Blessed!

So here's a toast to me, for Happy Happy Ever Ever After!
